Tristan Van Horne

VP, Health Plan Sales at Collective Medical

Tristan Van Horne has been in the healthcare industry since 1996. Tristan began their career as a Senior Sales Executive at 3M Health Information Systems, where they managed direct healthcare software and solution sales to hospitals in Florida, South Carolina, New England and upstate New York. Tristan achieved the highest quota attainment and was consistently ranked in the top tier of sales. Tristan was also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and managed projects such as business partner contract terms and pricing management, interface price management and policy, add-on sales optimization, and sales best practices. In 2009, they moved to Optum as the National Director of Health Information Exchange Sales, where they were responsible for jump starting HIE marketing strategies, creating HIE strategies for sustainability, and creating business partnerships to align with client needs. In 2011, they joined Orion Health as the HIE Senior Sales Director, where they were the sales lead for HIE partnerships (Hospital, Region, State). Their accomplishments included Idaho State HIE, Massachusetts State HIE, Phase 2 (RLS, Clinical Portal, Patient Portal), Nevada State HIE, Scottsdale Health Partners, AZ HIE/ACO, Lahey Health, MA HIE/ACO, North Dakota State HIE, San Joaquin County HIE (in partnership with Inland Empire HIE), St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center HIE/ACO, North Carolina State HIE (partner manager with Capgemini), Massachusetts State HIE, Community Health Access Network HIE, and New Hampshire State HIE. Tristan was the Global leader in HIE sales in 2012 and 2013, and the all-time US leader in State HIE sales (including competitors). In 2016, they moved to Collective Medical as the Vice President of Health Plan Sales.

Tristan Van Horne began their educational journey at Watertown High School. Tristan then attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a year in 1989-1990, studying Communications. Tristan then transferred to the University of Utah, where they graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Studies and Economics. In 2007, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from 3M Health Care.
