Mukesh Sharma is an accomplished journalist and media executive currently serving as the Director of Journalism and Deputy CEO at Collective Newsroom since April 2024, where strategic editorial initiatives aim to establish the organization as a leading trusted news provider in India. Previously, Mukesh held various prominent roles at BBC News from November 2002 to April 2024, including Editorial Head for African Languages, Digital Head for India, and Editor of Hindi, overseeing a wide range of media outputs across platforms. Early career experience includes a role as Reporter cum Sub-Editor at United News of India. Mukesh's educational background features a PG Diploma in Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and additional qualifications in Public Administration and Anthropology from institutions in Lucknow.
