Alana King

Alana King is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Austin Community College, teaching First-Year Composition, Sophomore Literature, and Intro to Humanities. King has extensive experience in literary publishing, serving as Editor-in-Chief and Co-Director of Social Media for Vagabond City Literary Journal and as a manuscript evaluator and assistant editor for Vine Leaves Press. Additionally, King held roles in editorial capacities for Your Impossible Voice and The Pinch Literary Journal, alongside experience coaching first- or second-generation college students at College Forward. King has participated in various academic initiatives and fellowships, enhancing professional development and leadership skills. Alana King holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Literature from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The University of Memphis among other educational qualifications.
