Shelby Houlahan is a highly skilled professional with diverse experience in education, program coordination, and content writing. Currently serving as a Territory Manager and Regional Tour Consultant at EF Education First since July 2023, Shelby's previous roles include College Success Coach at College Forward, where personalized support was provided to over 90 first-generation and underserved students. Shelby also worked as Program Coordinator and Instructor at J-Prep Saito Juku, overseeing educational programs for approximately 200 students. Additional experience includes content writing for tsunagu Japan and managing academic schedules as an Edu Au Pair with China Educators. Shelby holds a Bachelor of Science in Management: Consulting and Analysis from Virginia Tech.

Since 2003, College Forward has coached underserved, motivated students to achieve the benefits of higher education and a college degree. Our personalized, near-peer coaches and resources in both high schools and higher education institutions across the state offer the right amount of support to empower our students every step of the way. Our approach is working: College Forward students are five times more likely to earn a Bachelor’s degree than their peers. We can’t wait to keep leveling the playing field. As part of our continued commitment to deepen our impact and scale meaningful student outcomes, College Forward became a part of the national College Possible organization in July 2021.
