David M. Aurich

David M. (Dave) Aurich, Ph.D., serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Protego Solutions LLC, a firm specializing in threat assessment services for higher education environments, and has over 20 years of national and campus-based experience. In addition, Aurich has held the position of Associate Dean of Students at the College of Charleston since November 2015, where responsibilities include managing students of concern and adjudicating violations of the Student Code of Conduct. Previous roles include Interim Dean of Students at the University of South Carolina and Director of Academic Integrity, as well as Assistant Director of the Colvard Student Union at Mississippi State University. Aurich's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi.
