Thom Julian

Thom Julian has extensive experience in higher education administration, currently serving as the Senior Associate Dean of Students at Oberlin College since June 2014. In this role, Thom has provided leadership for the campus' 24-hour emergency response system, collaborated with community partners, and supervised multiple staff members across various departments. Previous positions include Director of Community Life and Standards, where Thom facilitated numerous administrative conduct meetings, managed budgets, and implemented policy revisions, as well as overseeing student activities and community life initiatives. Thom has also contributed to the development of student leadership programs and events, managed residential services, and held roles at Carnegie Mellon University, enhancing student services and emergency management. Thom holds a Master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ashland University.
