Erin Benson

Erin Benson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at the College of Charleston, where previous experience includes serving as a Clinical Counseling Intern. Erin has implemented an eclectic and culturally-sensitive therapeutic framework to provide individual and group therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans for diverse young adult populations. Erin's internship at the Medical University of South Carolina involved delivering trauma-informed therapy and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for burn patients, while earlier roles included teaching communications courses at the College of Charleston and the University of Minnesota, as well as serving as Executive Director at With Purpose, where significant fundraising initiatives for pediatric cancer research were established. Erin holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Communications.
