Heba Abourahma

Heba Abourahma is a professor at The College of New Jersey, where an academic career spans from August 2008 to the present, including roles as Assistant, Associate, and full Professor of Chemistry. Research interests focus on crystal engineering, specifically polymorphism and pharmaceutical cocrystals, examining how physical properties of materials are influenced by molecular arrangement and chemical composition. Previous experience includes consulting at Bristol Myers Squibb (September 2021 - August 2023), serving as an Assistant Professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2005 - 2008), a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Iowa (2004 - 2005) investigating metal-organic frameworks for hydrogen storage, and graduate studies at both the University of South Florida (PhD in Metal-organic chemistry) and the University of Ottawa (MSc in Carbohydrate chemistry). Educational background also includes a BSc in Chemistry from Saint Mary's University.
