Director Of Graduate Business Programs And Co-chair Undergraduate Business at College of Our Lady of the Elms

Amanda Garcia has extensive work experience in various roles. From 2011 to the present, they have worked at the College of Our Lady of the Elms as the Director of Graduate Business Programs and Co-Chair of Undergraduate Business. In this role, they oversee both the graduate and undergraduate business programs, develops and updates the curriculum, hires and trains adjunct faculty, and manages accreditation. Additionally, they teach graduate and undergraduate classes.

Prior to their position at the College, Amanda Garcia owned and operated Amanda Garcia, LLC from 2006 to the present. As a C.P.A. and owner, they specialize in providing tax preparation and planning services for individuals, partnerships, and businesses. Amanda'sareas of expertise include rental properties, small business tax planning, and individual tax planning related to investments and savings.

From 2004 to 2010, Amanda Garcia served as the Vice President of Operations at Junior Achievement of W. MA. In this role, they focused on preparing and inspiring young people to succeed in the global economy through K-12 programs that emphasize workforce development, career preparation, and basic financial skills.

Amanda Garcia holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting from Elms College, which they completed from 1999 to 2003. Amanda further pursued their education at Western New England University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Amanda Garcia earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification from the CFP Board in July 2017, and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Board of Public Accountancy in June 2008.
