Deema Abourizk

Deema AbouRizk currently serves as Academic Teaching Staff at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, beginning in December 2024. Simultaneously, Deema holds the position of Associate Complaints Director & Program Manager at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta since April 2022. From November 2021 to October 2024, Deema was the Director and Chair of the Governance Committee at the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories. Prior experience includes working as a Trust, Estates & Wealth Preservation Lawyer at Dentons, as well as contributing as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law. Deema started as an Articling Student and previously held roles such as Civil Litigation Volunteer and Criminal Law Project Volunteer, demonstrating a strong background in various legal settings. Educationally, Deema earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Distinction in Psychology from the same institution.
