Dr. Rodney Redmond

Dr. Rodney Redmond has extensive work experience in the field of education. Dr. Rodney is currently serving as the Provost & Vice President of Learning at the College of Southern Maryland since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Montgomery College starting in 2014, where they held the position of Dean of English and Reading. In this role, they provided leadership and supervision for faculty, staff, and curriculum in the English and Reading departments. Additionally, they served as the administrative supervisor for the Writing, Reading, and Language Center. Before joining Montgomery College, Dr. Redmond worked as the Associate Instructional Dean of Humanities from 2011. Dr. Rodney also served as a Board Member for Bernie Scholarship from 2009 to 2013. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Associate Dean of Humanities at Montgomery College from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they were the Chair of the Department of English Composition, Literature, and Professional Writing and an Associate Professor of English from 1996 to 2003.
