Dr. Trenace Richardson

Associate Vice President Of Organizational Development, Talent, And Equity at College of Southern Maryland

Dr. Trenace Richardson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Trenace is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Organizational Development, Talent, and Equity at the College of Southern Maryland, a role they assumed in July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Interim Associate Vice President of Human Resources at the same institution from August 2022 to July 2023. Dr. Trenace also served as the Director at the College of Southern Maryland from February 2020 to July 2023. In addition, Dr. Richardson has been the Chief Executive Officer of REAL Women, Inc since January 2013, where they provide a safe and authentic environment for women to learn, grow, connect, and lead. Dr. Trenace also has experience as a Keynote Speaker and Leadership Mentor through their own venture, Trenace Richardson Enterprises, since January 1994. Dr. Richardson has also worked at Strayer University, where they held various positions including Dean of Faculty, Campus Dean, and Associate Dean and Professor between 2013 and 2019. Furthermore, they worked as an Educational Researcher at The George Washington University from January 2000 to August 2007, where they conducted research on adolescent literacy issues and assisted the Maryland State Department of Education on educational matters. Overall, Dr. Trenace Richardson's work experience spans leadership and organizational development, human resources, education, and empowering women.

Dr. Trenace Richardson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Elizabeth City State University in 1996. Dr. Trenace then pursued a Master of Divinity degree in Religion from Howard University from 1996 to 1999. Continuing their education, they earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University from 2000 to 2009.
