Jeff Canion

Jeff Canion is an accomplished Engineering Technology Instructor at the College of Southern Nevada, specializing in basic electronics and introductory electronics courses since August 2023. With extensive experience in engineering and education, Jeff previously served as an Academy Teacher in Engineering & Design at KS Hawaii Campus for nearly two decades, teaching pre-engineering principles aligned with National STEM and NGSS standards. Jeff's diverse background includes significant roles as an Engineering/Technical Consultant at JHILO Tech and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Prior to these teaching positions, Jeff held leadership roles in various engineering firms, including positions at Cypress Semiconductor, Mitsubishi Electric, and Ricoh Americas Corporation, demonstrating expertise in application engineering, product design, and technical support. With multiple degrees in engineering and education, including a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction and certifications in engineering design, Jeff is well-equipped to contribute to the field of engineering education.
