Deborah K. Piland

Deborah Piland is an experienced academic professional holding the position of Assistant Professor and Director of the Dietetics program at College of the Ozarks since August 2009. Responsibilities include maintaining accreditation for the Dietetics program and teaching courses in nutrition, child development, nursing, and food management. Prior to this role, Deborah served as an Assistant Professor at Missouri State University from August 2001 to August 2009, where duties included teaching Dietetics courses and advising the student dietetic association. Deborah earned a PhD in Food Science from the University of Arkansas between 2001 and 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Food from Texas A&M University, acquired from 1981 to 1983.
