Stephen Nicholson is a seasoned civil designer with extensive experience in roadway and intersection design, site development, and construction plan development. Currently employed at Collier Engineering Company, Inc. since August 2016, Stephen has demonstrated proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and a strong knowledge of federal and state DOT standards while developing cost estimates and conducting traffic evaluations. Previous positions include Senior Highway Designer at Volkert, Inc., and Transportation Engineer Technician III at the Kentucky Department of Transportation, where expertise in geometric roadway and hydraulic design was cultivated. Early career roles included positions with the Kansas Department of Transportation and Fluor Daniel Construction Company, focusing on roadway design and construction inspection. Stephen is also an ordained minister with a theological education from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
