Collin County Criminal District Attorney's Office

Our number one job is to keep you safe, and we do that by prosecuting criminals, preventing crime, and protecting and supporting victims. We prosecute criminals who've hurt, molested, or murdered victims to the fullest extent of the law. We also extend grace to those first-time offenders willing to work hard on turning their lives around, resulting in an expunction and a better future. We prevent crime through training and education. We protect and support victims of crime by helping get them emotional support for the trauma they suffered from having a child or loved one murdered, or the emotional pain from a violent crime like rape. We help victims even when we can't file charges against the person who hurt them. We sometimes even use a therapy dog to help them testify in court and tell their story.
