Karl Lehenbauer

Karl Lehenbauer is an experienced technology leader with a career spanning several decades in the aerospace and technology industries. Currently serving as an Advisor at Collins Aerospace since November 2021, Lehenbauer was previously the Chief Technology Officer and cofounder of FlightAware from March 2005 until its acquisition by Collins Aerospace in November 2021, overseeing development and engineering teams in Houston. Prior to FlightAware, Lehenbauer was the CTO and cofounder of Superconnect from 2002 to 2007, along with founding NeoSoft, the first Internet Service Provider in the southern U.S., in 1991, which was acquired in 1999. Lehenbauer began their career as a Contract Programmer at Ferranti International Controls Corporation, focusing on real-time control systems for the electric power sector. Lehenbauer studied at Indiana University Bloomington from 1977 to 1980.
