Rick Aveline

Rick Aveline is an experienced project engineer currently employed at Collins Aerospace since May 2022, focusing on project engineering for SFC Interiors. Prior to this, Aveline served as VP of Research & Design at DaVinci Aerospace from August 2018 to April 2022, overseeing all engineering activities for the startup. Aveline's extensive background at Volvo Group Trucks Technology, spanning from April 2004 to February 2019, included roles such as Feature Specialist in Conventional Range Durability, Group Manager of Cab Analysis, and Lead Design Engineer for both Cab Analysis and Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics Analysis. Earlier career experience includes a position as Senior Project Engineer at ITI Manta Corporation from 1999 to 2004, where Aveline contributed to testing and structural analysis, and a research assistantship at Mississippi State University from 1996 to 1999. Aveline holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University.
