Carmenza Jaramillo

Carmenza Jaramillo is a seasoned diplomat, currently serving as the Ambassador of Colombia to Hungary since April 2019. Prior to this role, Jaramillo held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary of Colombia to Portugal from September 2016 to April 2019 and served as Ambassador at the Embassy of Colombia in the People's Republic of China from December 2012 to October 2016. Jaramillo's earlier experience includes serving as the USA Executive Director for the Colombian Government Trade Bureau - Proexport USA, President of the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce, and Consul General of the Colombian Consulate General in Miami. Jaramillo's diplomatic career began with roles at the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Colombia in Hong Kong. Jaramillo holds degrees in Administrative Law from Université Paris-Sorbonne and Universidad del Rosario, as well as a Law degree from Universidad de Los Andes.
