Med Colleen Hirn

Colleen Hirn, MEd has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Colleen began their career as a Retail Sales Associate at PACSUN from December 2006 to April 2008. In August 2013, they transitioned into education and worked as an English Teacher at Colonial Heights Public Schools until June 2020. From June 2020 to December 2022, Colleen served as an Instructional Technology Integration Specialist for the same school district. Colleen recently became the Director of Technology and Learning at Colonial Heights Public Schools in July 2022. Additionally, Colleen was also the Head Soccer Coach at Colonial Heights High School from February 2014 to December 2021. Throughout their coaching tenure, they achieved significant milestones, including being named Conference 25 Coach of the Year in 2017 and leading the team to their first state tournament appearance in girls' soccer school history. Overall, Colleen has a wealth of experience in education, technology integration, coaching, and retail sales.

Colleen Hirn, MEd, has a strong educational background in the field of education. Colleen began their education journey at Longwood University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Secondary Education. Upon completion of their undergraduate degree, Colleen went on to pursue their Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Technology & Online Learning at Liberty University from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their degrees, Colleen has obtained various certifications to further enhance their skills in the education field. In May 2012, they obtained their Licensed Teacher certification in Secondary English from the Virginia Department of Education. More recently, in May 2022, Colleen also obtained their Heartsaver CPR & AED certification from the American Heart Association.
