Dr. Thomas Kalinoski serves as the Director of Technology and Operations at Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 since April 2004, after holding various roles including Director of Technology and Coordinator of Administrative Technology. In this position, Dr. Kalinoski oversees the entire technical infrastructure of the organization, managing a wide range of technologies such as WAN and LAN connectivity, VMware Server virtualization, and various hardware and software systems. As one of the community’s largest employers and contributors, the 1,400 full and part-time staff at CIU20 provides direct and indirect services to 79,000 public school children; 9,000 non-public school children; and 7,000 professional staff in our service region of 1,200 square miles. CIU20 provides the delivery of important programs and services to children, especially those with special needs.
