Burt Sims has worked at Colony Hardware since 2023 as the Director of Data & Analytics. Prior to that, they worked at BlueLinx Corporation from 2005 to 2023. At BlueLinx, they held roles as Senior Manager IT BI & Analytics from 2015 to 2023, and Senior Systems Analyst from 2005 to 2015.

Burt Sims completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, starting in 1996 and finishing in 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2002. Later, in 2011 and 2012, they attended Georgia State University, where they obtained a Professional MBA with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
