Kim Lau Nielsen

Kim Lau Nielsen is a Principal Simulation Engineer at Coloplast since May 2023, with a notable role as a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Engineering Fracture Mechanics and as an ESIS National Committee delegate at EUROPEAN STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY SOCIETY LTD. since June 2017. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at the Technical University of Denmark from January 2007 to April 2023, serving in various academic positions including Associate Professor and Post-Doc while also pursuing multiple visiting researcher roles at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and Columbia University. Kim Lau Nielsen holds a Dr. Techn. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and has a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in the same field.
