Hau-Ling Poon

Hau-Ling Poon has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. They first worked as a Water Technician at SGS Environmental Services in 2007 before moving on to the Applied Biophysics Lab at Boreal Genomics, where they worked as a Research Assistant. At Boreal Genomics, they also held roles such as Research Associate, Reagent Kitting Specialist, and Assay Operations Manager.

In 2014, Poon joined Color as the Laboratory Operations and Quality lead, where they were responsible for inventory management, operational metrics analysis, and process improvements, as well as maintaining regulatory compliance and managing quality systems. They later served as the Head of Laboratory Operations, Director of Laboratory Planning and Operations, and Director of Clinical Laboratory Network.

In their most recent role at Color, Poon was the Director of Clinical Testing Programs, overseeing the building and management of a network of laboratory partners to provide testing services for various programs, including high-volume COVID testing.

Hau-Ling Poon obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS), Honours with Distinction in Biochemistry from The University of British Columbia between the years 2004 and 2009.
