James Beam

James Beam is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in application development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Manager of Application Development at Colorado Access since January 2019, James previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Optum from May 2004 to November 2018, managing multiple development teams over nearly 14 years. Prior roles include Applications Development Manager at Perot Systems, where James supported large healthcare clients and a major telecommunications company, and Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems, where the IT career began after graduating from the EDS Systems Engineering Development program. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University.
