Director Of Member Experience at Colorado Access

Kelly Shanahan has a diverse work experience in the field of community and public health. Kelly served as Director of Community & External Relations at Colorado Access, where they were responsible for developing strategies in external relations and partnership management. Kelly also worked as Director of Corporate Strategy, providing strategic planning and performance goal development to the organization. Prior to that, Kelly worked at Engaged Public as a Policy Director & Facilitator, leading policy analysis efforts and managing community engagement projects. Kelly also held the position of Policy Director at Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, where they led policy research and lobbying efforts. In addition, they gained experience at the Health & Human Services Commission in Texas as an Intern in the Office of Policy Development Medicaid/CHIP, and at the Health District of Northern Larimer County and Healthier Communities Coalition of Larimer County as a Community Projects Coordinator and Project Coordinator, respectively.

Kelly Shanahan attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Spanish for the Professions. Kelly later pursued a Master's degree in Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Kelly is currently in progress of obtaining a certification in Appreciative Inquiry Leadership and Facilitation from the Corporation for Positive Change, although the specific months and years are not provided.
