Jim Kasic

Jim Kasic is a board member of the Colorado BioScience Association and the former President and CEO of Sophono, Inc. Jim has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of EndoShape.

Kasic co-founded Sophono through Boulder BioMed. Under their leadership as President/CEO, Sophono received CE Mark and ISO 13485 in 2010, FDA Clearance in 2011, and several patents. The company was also the first to receive CID4 competitive funding (www.cid4.com) and an IRS Therapeutic Discovery Grant. In 2012, Sophono was named a Colorado Company to Watch Winner and a Colorado Bio Science Association Rising Star Award Winner. In 2013, the company was named a Colorado BIZ Top Manufacturing Company.

Jim Kasic attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they received their Bachelor of Science in Physics. Jim then went on to earn their Master of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the same school. Finally, they completed their MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Phoenix.
