Jessica Kisunzu is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Colorado College since July 2017, previously holding the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry. Jessica's extensive research expertise in organic synthesis, particularly in natural product total synthesis, is supported by experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich from September 2014 to May 2017 and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to May 2014. At Berkeley, Jessica served as a Graduate Student Instructor for multiple organic chemistry courses, while also gaining teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in the Chemistry Department at Southern Adventist University between August 2005 and May 2008. Jessica earned a PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Organic Synthesis from the University of California, Berkeley, after obtaining a B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Adventist University.
