Katie Kraft, M.Ed, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Career-Connected Learning at The Colorado Education Initiative since July 2022. Prior experience includes a supervisory role at Denver Public Schools, where Katie led the ACEConnect program aimed at preparing students with disabilities for workforce readiness through various community and work-based learning initiatives. Katie's background also features roles as an Education & Workforce Navigator with the Denver Opportunity Youth Initiative, and an Impact & Programs Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, focusing on developing after-school programming and case management. Earlier career contributions include positions at Chicago Public Schools as a Culture & Climate Director and Counselor, along with academic support roles at DePaul University and Kaplan Online University. Education credentials include a Master’s degree in School and Community Counseling from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
