Dan Schaller is an experienced education leader currently serving as President of the Colorado League of Charter Schools since November 2013, previously holding the position of Vice President of State & Local Policy. In this role, Dan directs policy and advocacy efforts, collaborates with various stakeholders, and promotes high-quality public charter schools at multiple governmental levels. Prior to this, Dan was the Director of Outreach & Operations at the Denver Preschool Program, where responsibilities included communications, program evaluation, and enrollment services. Additionally, Dan has experience as a Program Manager for the Denver Scholarship Foundation and began a career in education as a Teacher and Founding Staff Member at Arrupe Jesuit High School. Dan's educational background includes a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Denver, a Master's in Education from Regis University, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Saint Louis University.

The Colorado League of Charter Schools is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to supporting the charter schools in the state. The League is committed to helping these schools reach higher levels of student performance and overall success by providing information and resources, including technical support, advocacy, public relations assistance, and much more. Membership with the League is open to all charter schools in Colorado. The League also provides guidance and technical assistance for developing charter school groups, such as charter application reviews, contract negotiations, and general start up support. There are 269 charter school campuses in Colorado serving over 137,000 students. This represents nearly 16% of total PK-12 public school enrollment in the state.
