Robin Brown

VP, Development at Colorado Mesa University

Robin Brown is the current VP of Development at Colorado Mesa University. Prior to their current position, Robin was the Executive Director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership from December 2017 to August 2021. Robin has also been the owner of Brown House Public Relations and the founder of Spoke + Blossom Magazine.

Brown House Public Relations is the only public relations firm in western Colorado that promotes and markets Mesa County outside of Mesa County. Robin was hired to plan the Colorado Outdoor Industry Leadership Summit in Grand Junction and successfully negotiated with the county and city to reduce prohibitive fees. The strategic PR campaign resulted in front range and national recognition. Expanding the agriculture industry through the farm to table movement, Robin recruited journalists and coordinated media events to promote the local agritourism industry, hospitality industry and outdoor recreation industries resulting in earned media in local, regional and national publications.

In September 2017, Robin launched Spoke + Blossom- a lifestyle magazine promoting Colorado’s Grand Valley as an incredible place to live, work, and play in order to better brand the western Colorado lifestyle and promote a more positive narrative about our community.

Their manager is John Marshall, President. Robin Brown works with Jody Diers - VP, Student Services, Kurt Haas - VP, Academic Affairs, and Bryan Rooks - Co-Athletic Director, Internal Operations, Compliance & Student Services.
