Kathryn Regjo

VP of Academic Affairs at Colorado Mountain College

Kathryn Regjo is the current VP of Academic Affairs at Colorado Mountain College. Prior to their current role, Kathryn was the President at Lincoln College of New England from August 2010 to February 2015. In this role, Kathryn led and directed all educational, operational, financial, and personnel matters within a regionally accredited (NEASC), career-oriented, associate and bachelor degree granting College that has both on-ground and on-line learning modalities. Kathryn maintained the student-centered focus of the College’s Mission by working with all departments of the College to assure decisions are Mission fulfillment directed. Kathryn also worked closely with the Board of Trustees, parent company and financial leadership of the College to ensure financial solvency. Lastly, Kathryn encouraged elevated levels of cross-departmental communication to provide superior student services and increase overall knowledge and efficiency for all departments.

During their time as President, some of Kathryn’s key achievements included refining the College’s Mission, Vision and Goals to improve clarity of purpose and create unity; developing and producing the new Strategic Plan; leading the College through a series of State, NEASC, and program accreditation reviews, resulting in new degree programs, general approval to offer baccalaureate degree programs, and increased trust with state agencies and accrediting communities; reorganizing the academic organizational structure to place greater emphasis on general education; establishing a common general education core for all programs, institutional learning outcomes, student learning outcomes, and subsequent assessment plans for all programs; facilitating alignment among on-campus and online coursework; improving student retention by facilitating a collaborative environment, and implementing a communication strategy between academic advisors and a newly developed co-curricular student advising team; and initiating an early student engagement committee with cross-departmental representation charged with identifying at-risk students, and formulates and initiates plans to assist students struggling.

Kathryn Regjo earned their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. Kathryn also has a Presidential Fellowship for Community College Excellence in Community College Leadership and National Trends from The Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C. In addition, Kathryn Regjo has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. Her undergraduate degree is in International Business/German from Adrian College. Kathryn also attended Michigan Lutheran High School.
