Lea Ann Schell is currently the Dean of Academic Support & Accreditation Liaison Officer at Colorado Mountain College. Lea has held this position since October 2017. Prior to that, they were the Project Director: Title V Conexiones Grant at Adams State University from July 2011 to October 2017. In this role, they ensured that all goals and objectives of the five year $2.5million grant were met and that the operation of the project flowed smoothly and efficiently. Lea also supervised, coordinated, and facilitated the implementation of the project, evaluation, and budget with full administrative authority. Additionally, they managed the grant budget and ensured compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules.

Before their work at Adams State University, Lea Ann Schell was the Chair & Professor of Sport Management & Exercise Science at State University of New York at Fredonia from January 2008 to July 2011. Prior to that role, they served as an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at Sonoma State University from January 2001 to December 2008.

Lea Ann Schell earned their PhD in Kinesiology - Humanistic Foundations from Texas Woman's University. Lea also holds an MS in Athletic Administration from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, General from Wheeling University.
