Connie Schimmels

Connie Schimmels is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education administration, operations management, and organizational development. Currently serving as Chief of Staff and Operations at Colorado State University since March 2008, Connie provides strategic oversight and support for personnel, compliance, and fiscal matters while advising the Vice President. Previous roles include Executive Director of Operations and Director of Operations within the university's Division of External Relations, as well as leadership in public relations and administrative functions. Additionally, Connie has entrepreneurial experience as a business owner and manager of staging, alongside early career roles in education and child welfare. Educational qualifications include ongoing PhD studies in Organization Development and a Master's degree in Organization Learning Performance and Change from Colorado State University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Biola University.
