Colorado Youth for a Change
Sydnie Alex is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in youth engagement, fundraising, digital marketing, and event coordination. Currently serving as a Youth Engagement and Support Member at Colorado Youth for a Change since October 2023, Sydnie works with at-risk youth in Denver's public school system, providing comprehensive academic and mental health support. Previous roles include Office Manager and Head of Guest Relations at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch, where client relations were prioritized, and Associate Fundraising and Events Manager at EAH Housing, focusing on data management and relationship building. Additional experience encompasses teaching data analytics at COOP, event coordination at Ideas Events & Rentals, and fundraising at The UC Theatre. Sydnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, supplemented by a fellowship from COOP and an Associate of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Contra Costa College.

Colorado Youth for a Change addresses barriers to learning by providing individualized supports throughout pivotal stages of students' education journeys. We envision an equitable education system where each student has access to the resources they need to maximize their own learning and growth. CYC is a recognized leader in prevention and student reengagement programming, providing children and youth with one-on-one tutoring, evidence-based interventions, case management, and wraparound support services. CYC partners with school districts across the state, filling gaps in resources and providing one-on-one student support.
