David Szekeres

David Szekeres is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Heron Therapeutics. David is responsible for a broad range of operational areas, including finance, corporate strategy & business development, legal, human resources, investor relations & corporate affairs, facilities and information technology. David is a seasoned executive with almost 20 years of biotechnology, investment banking, finance and legal experience in the life sciences sector. He also has extensive experience in developing and executing biotechnology growth strategies with expertise in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, partnering on more than $30 billion in biotechnology transactions, and raising more than $2 billion for various companies in the biotechnology space. Additionally, David has founded or been a lead director of four different companies in the areas of biotechnology, artificial intelligence and software.
