Leila Maria Subia

Leila Maria Subia is an accomplished scientist specializing in biomaterials and cell engineering, currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Colossal Biosciences since February 2023. Previously, Leila held the role of Senior Research Associate at Smart Chemical Solutions LLC from June 2020 to February 2023, and has extensive research experience from The University of Texas at El Paso, where responsibilities included Assistant Instructor and Research Associate in tissue engineering. Leila's background also includes management experience as General Manager at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, along with earlier roles as a Resident Advisor and Summer Research Intern at The University of Texas at Arlington. Leila earned a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, following a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the same institution.
