Jon Swider

Jon Swider has a diverse work experience in education. Jon currently serves as the Head of School at Columbia Academy LLC since July 2023. Prior to that, they held positions as the Dean of Students/Dean of Faculty at the same institution from June 2022 to July 2023. Jon Swider also worked as the 7th Grade Year Coordinator/Dean of Students at Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys from July 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they were a Middle School Social Studies Teacher at The SEED School of Maryland from May 2018 to August 2021. Additionally, they worked as the Head Sports Counselor at BETH TFILOH Congregation & Schools during the summer of 2019. Jon Swider gained experience as a Resident Assistant and Goucher Sports Network Producer at Goucher College from September 2016 to May 2018. Jon also had a role as a First Year Mentor at the college from May 2016 to January 2017. Furthermore, Jon Swider worked as a Student Teacher at Baltimore County Public Schools from September 2014 to May 2018. Jon briefly taught at Samiel Ntsiko Primary School in July and August 2017.

Jon Swider completed their Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Goucher College. Jon attended Goucher College from 2020 to 2022. Prior to their Master's Degree, Jon Swider earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA in History with a Concentration in Secondary Education from Goucher College. Jon completed their undergraduate studies from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their degrees, Jon Swider obtained a certification in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) from the CITI Program in November 2021.
