Tim Pinel has a diverse work experience across various industries. Tim currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Columbia Association since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Insourced as a Partner, overseeing strategic digital marketing services from 2016 to 2020. Tim also has experience as a Marketing Director at MD Dept. of Housing and Community Development from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they worked as a Senior Economic Development Consultant at Silverlode Consulting Corp. from 2011 to 2013. Tim has also held positions as the Executive Director of Business Development at NYC Business Solutions from 2007 to 2011, and as a Consultant at Silverlode Consulting Corp. in 2006. Tim began their career as a Senior Project Officer at Queensland Department of State Development and Innovation from 2001 to 2005. Tim's early experience includes working as a Development Engineer at Nanochem Research Pty Ltd from 1997 to 2001.

Tim Pinel obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Queensland. Tim completed this degree from 1992 to 1996. Tim then pursued further education at The University of Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree in Economics from 1999 to 2003.

The Columbia Association (CA) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit service corporation that manages Columbia, MD., a master planned community that is home to approx. 100,000 people and several thousand businesses. In addition to enhancing the Columbia community through several recreational, cultural and community services and programs, CA also manages the short and long-term needs of the community including master planning support for our village centers, storm water management, long-range aquatics master planning, and improving connectivity and walkability.
