Derek Watson

Derek Watson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Derek currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Columbia Care, a position they have held since January 2022. In addition to their current role, Derek has served as a Board Member at Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden, Inc. since July 2017, and as a Fellow & Guest Lecturer at The Culinary Institute of America since August 2016. Prior to their current roles, Derek worked at Tastes on the Fly as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Commercial Officer & Partner from September 2018 to January 2022. Derek also served as a Board Member & Partner at Ox Verte from July 2018 to September 2020, and as the Chief Financial Officer at STARR Restaurants from April 2016 to March 2018. Before that, Derek held various leadership positions at ORANGE BRANDS MANAGEMENT, Schindler, and KPMG. At Schindler, they served as the Vice President Strategic Initiatives from April 2014 to November 2014, and as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from July 2011 to April 2014. During their time at KPMG, Derek worked as the Lead Partner, Transactions & Restructurings from 2009 to 2011, and as the Midatlantic Partner-in-Charge, Member of Management Committee, Transaction Services from 2006 to 2009. In addition, Derek served as a Board Member at BritishAmerican Business from 2010 to 2018.
