Jill Summers

Jill Summers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education and event management. Currently, Summers serves as the Director of Special Events for Student Affairs at Columbia College Chicago, a position held since August 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing the production of significant campus-wide events and collaborating with various partners for special occasions. As an Adjunct Faculty member in the English Department at Columbia College Chicago, Summers teaches courses in the First Year Writing Program and previously taught oral expression at St. Augustine College. Additional creative work includes writing short stories, puppet shows, and a play under the title Writer @ Large, with published works in various notable outlets including National Public Radio and multiple literary magazines. Summers holds a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Interdisciplinary Book + Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago, and education from Indiana University Bloomington and Rollins College.
