Katelyn Schara

Katelyn Schara is the Chief Medical Examiner for Columbia County since June 2021, bringing extensive experience as the Chief Deputy Medical Examiner for Columbia County Sheriffs from November 2011 to September 2022, where responsibilities included death scene investigations, information management for legal next of kin, and completing death certifications. Previous experience includes a position as a student at UW Car Fleet and Service Garage from June 2009 to December 2011, focusing on vehicle maintenance and reservation confirmations. Katelyn is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Globe University, having previously studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at Madison Area Technical College.
