Madeleine Groenier has extensive experience in the field of medical examination and forensic investigation, currently serving as the Chief Medical Examiner for Columbia County since February 2023. Prior roles include Interim Chief Medical Examiner and Chief Deputy Medical Examiner within Columbia County, as well as positions as an Emergency Dispatcher at Stoughton Police Department and a Medicolegal Death Investigator for Rock County. Madeleine gained foundational experience as a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech at UW Health and completed an internship at the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office, where tasks included photography, report writing, and assisting in autopsies. Educationally, Madeleine holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Forensic Investigation from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, obtained in 2019.
