Doug Peterson

Doug Peterson is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations and purchasing. Currently serving as a Buyer Senior at Columbia Gear since May 2007, Doug oversees the procurement of forgings and steel for a machine shop catering to Fortune 500 companies in the mining, oil and gas, construction, and wind energy sectors. Responsibilities include negotiating pricing and delivery while ensuring quality standards are met. Previously, Doug held the position of Vice President of Operations at FSI from August 2000 to April 2007, managing all operations for a direct mail marketing company, including logistics and warehouse operations. Furthermore, Doug served as the Director of Distribution at GR Herbergers Dept Store from March 1986 to August 2000, where Doug led distribution operations for a department store chain and successfully implemented automation and barcoding systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
