Cheryl Ragar

Cheryl Ragar serves as the Interim Executive Director at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum since April 2024, following a period as a self-employed User Experience Design Student. Ragar has cultivated extensive experience in education and program development, including roles such as Development Director at St. Michael Special School, where support for students with exceptional needs was a focus, and multiple teaching positions at St. George's Episcopal School and St. Marys Academy of The Dalles. Additionally, Ragar has worked on curriculum development for youth and adult education, demonstrated by success in designing interdisciplinary programs and mentoring middle school students. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in American Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from The University of Kansas.
