Cheri Montee

Cheri Montee, SHRM-CP, is an experienced professional in human resources and safety compliance. Cheri has held various roles throughout their career, starting with their most recent position as Human Resources Director at Columbia Industries since 2023. Prior to that, Cheri worked at AutoZone, where they served as an Autozone Supply Chain Project Manager from March 2022 to November 2023, and as a Human Resources Manager from December 2016 to March 2022. In their HR Manager role, Cheri was responsible for overseeing all HR functions for a workforce of 250+ employees, including talent acquisition, staff development, and budget management. Furthermore, Cheri was the primary contact for disciplinary issues, leave management, benefit enrollment, and injury claim management. Cheri also worked at Sunheaven Farms as the Director of Human Resources and Safety Compliance from June 2009 to November 2016. In this role, they handled various responsibilities such as hiring, discipline, termination, employment security, personnel files, and safety training. Additionally, Cheri was responsible for developing employee handbooks, accident prevention plans, food safety plans, and training plans for multiple farming operations and packing sheds. Cheri Montee, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Western Governors University, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned an AAS degree in Business Administration from Blue Mountain Community College, attending from 2010 to 2012. Cheri also holds a Certificate of Completion in Human Resource Management from Seattle Pacific University, obtained in 2009. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as SHRM-CP from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in December 2015.
