Michael Novakovich

Michael Novakovich has a diverse work experience in various leadership and managerial roles. Michael is currently serving as the President & CEO of Columbia Industries, where they oversee multiple businesses that fund non-profit mission services. Prior to this, they were the Managing Partner of NovaWerx, LLC, a business consultancy firm specializing in leadership, strategy, human resources, marketing, communications, public relations, and customer service. Michael also served as the President & CEO of Visit TRI-CITIES, promoting tourism and driving economic impact in the Tri-Cities area. Additionally, Michael worked as an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Development and Marketing at Heritage University @ CBC. Earlier in their career, they held director positions at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, where they developed and executed strategic initiatives for business development, marketing, public relations, community outreach, and employee engagement. Michael started their career as a Manager at Esprit Graphic Communications, Inc., overseeing various production departments and taking on client consulting and human resource responsibilities.

Michael Novakovich, CDME has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University. Michael also holds a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Washington State University Global Campus. In addition, Michael has obtained the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) certification from Destinations International in June 2019.
