Corey Hutchins is an accomplished journalist and academic with extensive experience in the field. Since February 2017, Corey has served as the Co-director of the Journalism Institute at Colorado College, teaching a variety of courses including Advanced Reporting in the Digital Age and Investigative Reporting. In addition, Corey is a journalist for The Colorado Independent and a correspondent for Columbia Journalism Review, both roles held since December 2015 and January 2013 respectively. Corey's previous experience includes reporting for the Free Times, where Corey received multiple accolades from the South Carolina Press Association, and serving as a reporter-researcher for the Center for Public Integrity. Corey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Literature with a journalism cognate from the University of South Carolina and an Associate's Degree in Journalism from the State University of New York at Morrisville.
