Christian Obst

Christian Obst has over 25 years of extensive experience in the maritime industry, currently serving as a Fleet Manager and Maritime Technical Project Manager at Columbia Shipmanagement since September 1998. In this role, Christian oversees various projects including energy saving initiatives and fuel measurement, while also managing the technical and commercial operations of chemical, product, and crude oil tankers. Previous positions held include Technical Superintendent for container vessels, Manager of Projects and Newbuildings overseeing the construction of various vessel types, and Technical Advisor at STN Atlas Japan Ltd, where responsibilities included bridge design and training. Christian holds a Diplom Ingenieur degree in Shipoperation from the Institute for Shipoperation, Shiphandling and Simulation, completed in 1997.
