Cristina Aguirre-Chen

Cristina Aguirre-Chen, PhD, is a seasoned professional in research administration and neuroscience, currently serving as a Grants Finance Analyst in the Post-Award Core at Columbia University Irving Medical Center since October 2018. In this role, Cristina manages approximately 50 sponsored and non-sponsored accounts, providing faculty with comprehensive updates on research portfolios. Prior to this position, Cristina worked as a Grants Coordinator in the Pre-Award Core, where responsibilities included organizing grant applications and budget preparations. Cristina's research background includes significant postdoctoral work at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory focused on autism and schizophrenia, as well as extensive experience in various research roles at institutions like Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the University of Miami. Cristina holds a PhD and an MS in Neuroscience from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a BA in Economics from Cornell University.
